Portside Physiotherapy understands the requirements of Dancers. Our Senior Physiotherapist, Haydee has over 30 years of dance experience and has been working with dancers bodies for 15 years. Her extensive experience and passion in the management, rehabilitation and education of both professional and pre-professional performers gives her a unique approach to treatment.

Portside Physiotherapy strongly believes in keeping dancers and performers in class and on stage as much as possible throughout their rehabilitation and our physiotherapists work in collaboration with studio directors, teachers and choreographers to safely modify dancers activity and load to ensure optimal recovery.

Over her physiotherapy career, Haydee has worked with performers both nationally and internationally from: Cedar Lake Ballet and Contemporary Company (USA), Victorian State Ballet, Chunky Move, Gravity and Other Myths, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Sonia Friedman Productions), West Side Story (BB Group production), Chicago (John Frost and Suzanne Jones Production), Melbourne Theatre Company (various shows), School of Rock (Andrew Lloyd Webber) and many independent artists. Haydee has also done further Dance Physiotherapy training with Lisa Howell from The Ballet Blog and Sue Mayes from the Australian Ballet and implements many of their innovative and research driven approaches to her treatment style.
